How WealthPrism uses your information

For firms and the people in them. Last updated 20 October 2026.

This notice explains what personal information WealthPrism collects when you set up and run a page for your firm, why, who else receives it, how long we keep it, and your rights.

Who we are

WealthPrism is run by Realize.vc Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 10693224, at 66 Shelburne Road, High Wycombe, England, HP12 3NQ. We are the controller of the information in this notice.

ICO registration number: ZC267961. We have not appointed a data protection officer; write to [email protected] with any question about your information.

There is no phone line, and nobody at WealthPrism takes calls. Write to [email protected], or use your settings.

What we collect

  • Your account: your email address, your name as given at sign-up, whether your email is confirmed, and sign-in records. Our sign-in provider, Clerk, holds these. If you choose to sign in with LinkedIn or Google, we receive from them, through Clerk, your name, your email address and whether they have confirmed it, your profile photo if you have one, and an identifier for your account with them. We use these to sign you in and to fill in your name, which you can change. We copy the photo into our own storage only if you press the button to use it, and then keep it like any other photograph you add.
  • About you: your first and last name and your company name.
  • Your choice about news emails: whether you ticked the box, the wording you saw, and when.
  • Your email settings: whether you get our emails as they happen or at most one a day.
  • Your profile and your firm's page: a one-line description, an introduction, photographs, LinkedIn, website, phone number, what the firm works on, where and how it meets people, how its advice is scoped, its usual minimum and its charges, and the people on the page with their roles, years in practice, languages and headshots.
  • Register entries and checks: the register each person is on and their reference number; what the FCA's or SRA's register said and when we read it; and whether a person at WealthPrism found a number in a professional body's directory, and when, with any evidence you gave.
  • Professional indemnity insurance: if you give it, your insurer, the date your policy renews or ends, your limit of indemnity if you state it, and the certificate or schedule you upload. Only people at WealthPrism who check it can open the certificate. It is never shown on your page.
  • Recommendation requests: the email addresses you ask us to write to.
  • Introductions and conversations: the introductions your firm receives, what you answered, and your messages with people you accepted.
  • Review records: if your listing is flagged for review, what was flagged, what we did and why.

Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To run WealthPrism for firms (your account, your page, the directory listing, introductions and conversations): our agreement with you or your firm. Where the agreement is with your firm, our legitimate interest in running the service your firm signed up to.
  • To email you about your page, introductions and messages: our legitimate interest in running the service. These emails cannot be switched off while you have an account, but you can have them as at most one email a day in your settings.
  • To send news about WealthPrism for firms: only if you ticked the box asking for it (your consent). The box is unticked unless you tick it. You can stop these emails at any time.
  • To read public registers and look numbers up in professional bodies' directories: our legitimate interest, and that of people looking for help, in what your page says about a register being accurate.
  • To check your professional indemnity insurance, if you give it: our legitimate interest, and that of people looking for help, in your page saying accurately that a person at WealthPrism checked it.
  • To keep records of reviews of flagged listings: our legitimate interest in being able to account for what we did and why.

Who sees it

  • Anyone, once your page is live: everything on your page, without signing in. Search engines may index it. Your email address is never on your page.
  • People who ask to be introduced to your firm: what is on your page, and the conversation once you accept. You never receive their email address or phone number, and they never receive yours from us: the conversation happens on WealthPrism.
  • Our service providers: Clerk (sign-in; United States), Microsoft Azure (will host platform data at rest in UK South; its Azure OpenAI Global Standard writing assistant may process prompts and responses in any Azure region), Zoho ZeptoMail (sending email; United Kingdom). They act only on our instructions.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

When your page comes down, it stops being shown at once, and it leaves our directory within six minutes. Search engines and other sites that copied it may keep their copy for longer.

The people you name on your page. Please share this notice with anyone you add to your firm's page.

Recommendations

If a firm asks us to, we email a person the firm names to ask whether they would like to write a recommendation for the firm's page. This part is about that person, the writer.

What we collect from a writer: the email address the firm gave us; the name they choose to show (their first name and the initial of their last name, or their full name); how they say they know the firm; and the words they write. We keep the email address until they write, or for up to a day after so that we can send them a confirmation, and then only a one-way hash of it, which cannot be turned back into the address. If they never write, the address is deleted with the request. We use the hash only to stop a firm asking the same person twice while a recommendation is open.

Why: to show what the writer chose to write on the firm's page, with the name they chose. Writing one is up to the writer, and they agree to the words being shown before they send them.

Who sees it: anyone reading the firm's page sees the recommendation and the name the writer chose. The firm sees the address it gave only shortened (for example a…@example.org), and never sees it on the recommendation. WealthPrism does not check that the writer is a client of the firm. A recommendation is not a WealthPrism review.

WealthPrism shows every recommendation that is written. The firm cannot change or hide it. The firm can ask WealthPrism to remove one that is abusive, false or about someone else, and a person at WealthPrism decides.

The writer can withdraw their recommendation at any time from the link in the confirmation email: it leaves the page and their words are deleted at once. A request that was never written, a recommendation that was withdrawn and one WealthPrism removed are deleted entirely 30 days after the request lapsed, the recommendation was withdrawn or it was removed.

Emails

Our emails say that something happened and link back to WealthPrism. They never contain a message's text or another person's contact details. We do not track whether you open them or which links you press. They come from a no-reply address. Emails about your page, introductions and messages cannot be switched off while you have an account, but you can have them as at most one email a day in your settings.

Outside the UK

Clerk is based in the United States. Our agreement with Clerk includes the safeguards UK data protection law requires for transfers outside the UK. Microsoft Azure will store platform data at rest in UK South, but its Azure OpenAI Global Standard writing assistant may process prompts and responses in any Azure region, including outside the UK. Before this feature processes personal data in production, we will confirm the applicable transfer safeguards and make details available by writing to [email protected]. Zoho sends our emails from the United Kingdom.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the reasons in this notice, or for as long as the law requires, and then delete it or make it anonymous. When the production platform is deployed, Azure Container Apps operational and access logs will be retained for up to 90 days and may include IP addresses and request or diagnostic details. Your page comes down when your firm leaves WealthPrism. We keep an insurance certificate while your firm is listed and for twelve months after, then delete it; one you replace or remove is deleted when you do. To ask how long we keep a particular piece of information, write to [email protected].

Your rights

You have the right to be told how we use your information, to access it, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict how we use it, to have the people we shared it with told of a correction or deletion, to take it with you, and not to be subject to solely automated decisions with significant effects. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Using your rights is free, and we answer within one month.

You can object at any time to our use of your information where we rely on legitimate interests. You can stop news emails at any time, for any reason.

Most of your information can be seen and changed in your settings, and your page can be taken down there. For anything else, write to [email protected] from the email address on your account.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to sign you in and keep your session secure. They are set by our sign-in provider, Clerk, and are strictly necessary, so we do not ask for your agreement to them. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Complaints

Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at any time: ico.org.uk, or Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
